you are best off starting the game solo just locally. there's a good 20 hours of wtf am I supposed to do that is really rewarding in single play. if you hop on a server, most of them are modded up to change the core gameplay. single player is really a great experience. unless you can find a totally vanilla server with no help available. the survival countdown clock is the best.
here's a guide to your first 20 mintutes in the game. you spawn in the wilderness, you have until sundown to harvest materials and build a shelter. at sundown monsters come out and they will kill you. you need torches too. monsters will spawn inside your house if its not lit. enjoy!

i havent enabled building for you. its permissions based. last time i let you on you raped the welcome complex for raw materials lol.
I'll enable building for you on a far away island though if you find a place you want to build.

I'm on the island, curious name I get the sarcasm. really no food on the island some pigs or cows would be usefull
I'm having some issues with my personal server and permissions, any chance I could talk you into putting all of your plugins and permissions into a zip file and uploading to filefront so I can look at it and see what I am doing wrong

I'd really like to get a hold of this island right here, its closer to people and has mountains. Kind of lacking trees but i'm sure that can be fixed.
